¡¡¡Primer Cambio Terminado!!!

Wow today was cambios/exchanges in the mission and the district leader and his companion both left for different areas and the zone leaders left too and so we are getting a new gringo district leader and he is going to train a greenie at the same time. Fun stuff.....
So this morning we woke up at 3am to get ready to leave with the two elders to there areas and play futbol with some other missionaries but the buses on monday are always really full so we didn´t get on a bus until 6:30 and didn´t arrive until 7:30 and it was just crazy but it was nice to see some other missionaries outside of our excluded 4 down in Rosario. Also it was interesting to see how bad i am at soccor compared to the mexicans. Wheww i got some practice to do! They said next time we can play basketball and we can see how that goes;) haha

Well also this past week we had another baptism of investigators, a mom and a daughter, of the other companionship. It was pretty interesting since not to many people showed up and the mom had to be baptized 4 times since she was afraid to go completely under the water. Well our small branch here is growing and that is so amazing.

Alot of stuff is going to happen this month as well and so there is a lot of stress and pressure on us since we are responsible for a lot here. First of all there will be some change of locations. The rent of the "chapel"/house of prayer is up at the end of this year so we are looking for a new spot to hold meetings for the next little while/ couple of years until we can build a real chapel here.As well the rent of our apartment is up and we are looking for a new apartment and it is a bit difficult here in tiny Rosario.

Also we have the new district leader and set of missionaries to help get settled here and then there is the christmas activity for the branch on the 20th. This activity is called Navideña and reminds me so much of the Posada we have in our ward back home. MMmmmm... and there is going to be a lot of good mexican food just as good as back home too.

So that is what´s going on here and I can´t believe how far i have come. I have learned so much from my trainer, my area, the people here, it is crazy.

It has been interesting mom to answer your question about how to motivate people to do stuff, to work with all the investigators and wonderful and different people here. At first it was a huge culture shock since the people here are so lax about everything and there isn´t too much order or motivation to do anything. On top of that i am in a part of mexico were this culture has been deeply entrenched and every one is catholic and has been catholic for all there lives. I am trying to put my self in their shoes to see what it would take to make a life changing decision in following the one true church. It is hard some times but it has given me the reflection of " why am i in this church and why do i make this life changing decision"?

Well i am learning every day more and more the Why and How of this gospel. There is a lot to learn and do i have realized and through prayer, hard work and study, and the help of the Lord i can come to understand.
Thanks and Love you all lots.
