Hello from Mexitown

Hola everybody I hope you are all well back in the States and that you are enjoying summer now in full blast. WOOHOO!!!
Well first I have a question for you mom to see if you know how you can get ahold of Living Scriptures DVDs. A member here wants to find out how to get them for her kids.
Well this week was a hot one what a surprise and well we have been drinking alot of water and suero and keeping on working hard. We have been trying now to turn over a new leaf and are looking for new investagators underneath this leaf that we turned over. Our area isnt that big but there are many people who need to hear our message and we just have to find them. It was funny how we "found" someone the other day when we were walking down the street and Elder Rueda was spinning his hand towel on his finger( which is pretty cool by the way and i am trying to learn how) and all of a sudden the towel got lifted up of his finger and got carried by the wind and landed almost at the feet of a woman hanging up the laundry and we apoligized and got to talking and found out she had just got back from a vacation and her son had gotten baptized two weeks before. She lives in an apartment with her two other sons twins that arent members that are 22 years old. Well We will see how it goes with her but how interesting things can turn out.
One thing i learned this week was about the importance of love and how powerful it is. We must love every son and daughter of God, in the street, in school, our friends, our enemies, and when we have this love so deeply engrained that we are willing to help in any way and want to bring the joy of the Gospel into their lives. We want to be a good example, we want to go out of our way to be better friends, to include them, to not criticize and to be patient.
Oh I also met a pioneer member of the church here in culiacan who is inactive right now but reminds me so much of grandpa burnett. He has such an energy, drive, the stories and everything like him. He made lock boxes for a job, he made a mini volkswagon bug from scratch, we has 8 kids, always telling stories. Grandpa and Hermano Goreno would get along very well i believe with or without the spanish.
We also had a BAPTISM!!!!! Woohoo after 3 companions. Elder rasmussen to find them. Elder Llanos to teach them. and Elder rueda to baptize her. Diana is a 18 yr old and was baptized on Saturday. It was wonderfully amazing.
Love you so much and hope your summer is rocking!!!!
