So I have been getting to be able to run with my companion and we actually went running this morning for about twenty minutes and it was probably
only a little bit more than2 miles but it was great to get out in the morning with the sun coming up shining on the green mexican mountains by the river. It seems to be getting harder and harder to be excited and animated and it seems with the heat and everything it is real easy to be tired especially after lunch. I do NOT want to turn into an old person here on the mission, get fat, cant runt, cant move, and is always tired and boring. Well i am going to fight it with all i got to come back the same jumpy energetic and athletic kid that left.

Elder Hernandez and I made a menu to divide up and ration the food we have. I have instilled a little bit of healthiness in him to get him to excersize and eat better since he is a little overweight for being so small. If you have ideas of healthy and easy food items please send the ideas my way. It made me smile a lot when you guys talked about the freezer being open cuz little munchkins were getting in for the corn dogs. I try not to snack but it is hard sometimes when you are in your house all morning and there is food to eat in the fridge. It is a good lesson in self control. Oh and dad lo siento/ i am sorry for all the things breaking down back home. When you said that people have it a lot worse i can testify to that. In our branch here in Rosario there is only the branch president and two other members that have cars. Every one else gets around by walking or biking if they are lucky. Then the quality of housing here is something to be amazed at. There are whole neighborhoods where the houses are made of cardboard, scrap wood, and twine and it is one room the size of our office with dirt floors. Whole neighborhoods. But they are the most humble and most amazing people and they can be rich in the gospel. You too dad can be rich in the gospel because in the end it is that kind of riches that lasts an eternity.
Oh and about the simplified hymn book the other elder in my district ordered two one for me and one for him and so i should be good but they haven't arrived yet. i did get other mail but it was from a month before Christmas like a Christmas card from grandma so i still think i have to wait until the next month for my book covers.
Mom thanks for sharing your progress in the seminary and i can tell that you are being blessed abundantly with the knowledge and understanding of the scriptures that you have probably never had. Funny thing is that i am following almost exactly along with you guys in my goal to finish before my birthday but i think i am falling behind and for that we are still pretty close. I am in like Alma 46 and i too am having a greatly spiritually enriching time reading cover to cover the Book of Mormon in Spanish. I too especially loved the Alma 37 and advice giving chapters of Alma to his sons. I thought of it as a really great father son chat that was really deep and was recorded for all history for other fathers and sons to learn from. And it is interesting that each son has things similar and things different in what they are told. What advice would you give your sons Dad at this time that you knew would go down in the history books? What missionary advice, life advice, spiritual advice do you have for your sons on missions and for your sons back home?
Well Gotta go but i hope things improve for you all and that you can see the Lords hand in your lives every day
Hasta Luego

Alma 36 is so cool; it's a chiasmus. And it pivots on the words about redemption, "Oh, Jesus, thou Son of God, have mercy on me..." which is the pivotal message of the Book and of the plan of salvation. There's another element of chiasmus in the chapter, a mirror-image on another level. Can you find it?
