Cumpleaños Rock!! March 24, 2014 email

Okay sweet I made it another week in the middle of the big city of Culiacan!
And i like the numbered questions so that i dont go all brain freeze when i am writing.

Well Numero 1...

This last week I really got down on my self at certain points but,,, we had divisions when we change companions and I went with our district leader and it helped me turn things around. We found several people.....or should i say two people found us and asked that we could come talk to them so that made me realize that even when i feel i am not living up to Gods standard of amazing missionary he still has a plan for everyone and that he is just and will give everyone a chance even when they have to come ask us. 

#2 I actually dont play the piano in my new ward since there is more people and it is a little more like church and its not just 40 people sitting in a rented house with me standing up front on a keyboard. I dont know we will have to see since nobody plays so I might still give it a go.

#3My BIRTHDAY was AWESOME! I got a cake from a hermana in our ward sent to the bishops house where i ate lunch on thursday. I ate so much, the people here dont know the meaning of portions and what is a regular meal. We ate a plate of spagetti which is usually a meal right but no we ate after that mashed potatoes with cheese with fried chicken and then after  icecream and then they surprised me with the cake with milk and then a boli or a fruit popsicle. Then I got on Sunday a cake from the patriarc and then today on monday i went with a hermano to a really nice restraunt called Panama and had an amazing breakfast.The first cake was a vanilla and chocolate cake covered in white frosting and coated in nuez or walnut. It was also made with like cream cheese so it was really rich and delicious. The other cake was a 3 layer chocolate cake covered in milky way bits and uummmm it was good. I got pics for you guys haha and can see you drooling already. the members here are so nice and I feel very loved here. Oh i did get the package with the cards and the ballons and tricks. Thank you so so  much that is really nice and thoughtful. I loved the minnesota birthday party you guys had for us that looks just so awesome and I love you guys. I definitely could feel that you were caring about me and my bro far from home. 

#4 LEssons we taught were to many members but we taught alot about God and what his relationship is with his children here on the earth. But we also taught an investigator all of the restauration and about faith and the holy ghost and how she has to have the faith to listen and act upon the feelings she has when she reads and prays.

#5For service we arent doing anything like chopping wood like clint is. We always are looking but the people are pretty proud and stubburn with regard to needing help.

Oh and Yeah i finished the Libro de Mormon and I feel so much more ready with the knowledge that it contains and i feel like I learned alot about spanish and the gospel cuz i really had to focus on what it was saying. I cant wait to do the same with D and C and with the Bible. I have a goal to finish all the scriptures while on my mission. 

OH and for the package ties are always appreciated now that i realize how thats the only change in our ward drobe and they are like currency among missionaries here. Oh and if you find a pair of pants that are my size and a dark color that are mainly like polyester and light that would be helpful cuz they dont really have my size here so if you could keep an eye open. Dont really like my missionary mall pants.
