¡¡¡Living it up in Rosario!!!

Well i was really glad to talk to you guys to on the phone and it was awesome to hear your voices and that you havent changed too much......yet.

haha well for the rest of that christmas day we got a ride out to a small town called Wasima and the family Kincaid lives there the grandparents and we had a christmas dinner with them. And this dinner had like everything with a ham and potato salad, little wieners, chips, rolls, cheese, and soda and it was just like old times. Wow it was rich and I ate alot.

It was also crazy but we also weighed ourselves on the scale that they have and with all my clothes on and shoes and everything i weighed 179 which was means i had lost like 6-7 pounds from the MTC but i feel that i have gotten fatter with a little bit of chub on my belly but apparently not. Maybe i am losing all my muscle which is what i am afraid of, of getting a belly but being chicken legs and arms. I try to exersize every morning and on sundays i do stretching so i don't get all stiff and old.

Well any way the house of the kincaids is small but really nice at the same time and literally their back yard gate opens out onto the beach. How great is that. We took some photos of us as close to the beach as we are ever going to get. Oh and the sunset was awesome too. We also got some mini bananas from their banana tree and they were so sweet and savorful.

Well not much else big has happened but the new year is coming and so we are changing are apartment. We are changing to a much smaller apt but it is just barely built and brand new with ac and a stove and the other pair of missionaries in rosario are going to live above us. It is actually pretty nice. We are moving our stuff tonight at 6pm and getting help from a member in escuinapa. Amazing how much stuff a person has but my companion has just one large suitcase and a small one and thats it. He keeps telling me the gringos always have way to much stuff. Its true.

Well for my thought of the week I was talking with my companion why people don't like going to church and I have thought about what really is the purpose of church and things that sometimes seem boring or useless. Well i thought that maybe it is our fault church is boring to people and we need to make it more interesting but no that isn't why people don't go it is because they fail to see the purpose and don't have the faith. Like our recent convert Vicky said that in the beginning church was boring but now after she has realized the true meaning for church she loves going. I have realized that we are in different stages of this process with many things. We may not see the purpose for going to church or reading the scriptures every night or praying on our knees, our doing spelling words, or teaching unattentive teenagers, or practicing piano, or almost anything. But i know that especially with things of the church there is always always always a reason and sometimes we just need to suffer the boringness or discomfort or sacrifice for a little bit longer until we come to an understanding or realization of the purpose. This is for everyone, Mom, Dad, Clint, Rachel, Jacob!, Luke, Sarah, Julia, and especially me too. Sometimes there are boring or hard things in a mission like rules, meetings, investigators, companions or anything that we don't get the reason for but through patience and waiting we can wake up to the purpose. So just keep plugging along everyone and know that the trials and the things we don't like are for our good. I like Ether 12:27 with that if we are having these trials or even being bored it is because we are being tested and that God believes we are worthy of these trials and that we are coming closer to him through them. Keep chugging along in righteousness and one day I promise you will understand the purpose.
Love you all so much and be safe.
